The real estate company has started the development of a new coworking space in building number 123 on Vía Augusta street in Barcelona. The rehabilitation works of this shared office project, which has almost 4.000 sqm distributed over eight floors, will involve an investment of eight million euros. Renta Corporación has signed a lease agreement with IWG, a world leader in flexible workspaces.
The operation represents Renta Corporación's commitment to a sector in transformation such as offices and in one of the main business areas in the upper area of Barcelona, such as Vía Augusta.
The property has been the headquarters for more than 50 years of the Foundation of the Institute for North American Studies. The work of the architect José María Bosch Aymerich, the renovation being carried out by Renta Corporación, has respected the original design of the façade due to its uniqueness. Once the work is finished, the building will house the new Spaces brand center, owned by the International Workplace Group (IWG), specialized in flexible office spaces. The opening of the center is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
