The asset is an industrial unit, which was acquired through the absorption of company Itzama Design, according to the Mercantile Registry. It is located near other properties owned by the Spanish group, where the office complex will be developed, between Tánger, Badajoz, Bolivia e Ávila streets.

The group’s president, Joaquín Castellví explained to Spanish daily newspaper EjePrime that this project will result in the development of 2 office buildings made from wood which will have a total combined area of 18.000 sqm. The complex will include a gym, a canteen, leisure areas and an urban allotment vegetable garden with 2.000 sqm on the terrace.

Construction works are expected to start in February next year and to be finished by the end of 2022.

This is the group’s fifth project in the Catalan capital’s tech axis. CMT’s corporate headquarters, located at number 56 Calle Bolívia, Ogilvy’s headquarters, located on the corner between Calle Ciutat de Granada and Calle Bolivia, and Indra’s headquarters, located at calle Tánger 120, are three examples.

This same group was responsible for the sale of T-Systems’ headquarters, located in the same quarter, to Spanish REIT Colonial during 2019’s last quarter for 101 million euro.
