ARCO Comercialización has completed the award of a development of 124 subsidised housing units in the urban development of Parla Este, in Madrid. The project, managed as a cooperative under the Limited Price Public Housing (VPPL) scheme, consists of two and three-bedroom flats, all of which have a terrace, storage room and two parking spaces per home.
In terms of sustainability, the development has energy certification A, aerothermal system for the production of domestic hot water and invisible air conditioning through underfloor heating and cooling.
The residential complex incorporates communal areas such as a swimming pool, multi-sports court, children's areas, social lounge, bicycle parking, pet washing area and landscaped spaces. As for its location, it is next to educational centres and close to a tram stop, with access to public facilities, local shops and green areas.
By the end of 2024, the company had managed the sale of more than 550 homes in different municipalities in the Madrid region, with a reservation rate of 82% of the total number of units being marketed. In a context marked by the scarcity of new construction and pressure on demand, the company plans to strengthen its presence in the second-hand housing market in 2025 as a way of expanding its offer and adapting to the needs of the buyer.
