Aedas Homes has begun construction of 24 homes on the island of Zorrozaurre, in Bilbao, where it is developing a two- and three-bedroom development that has already achieved a 40% sales rate. The works will be carried out by Urbelan and are scheduled for completion in the second half of 2028.
The Lyra development is being built in the central part of the island, next to the estuary and opposite Deusto, and will feature south-facing terraces and views of the future central park. Its launch brings to 192 the number of homes that the developer, part of the Neinor Group, currently has under construction in the Basque Country, all of which are located in Bizkaia.
This project joins the Gane and Mune developments in Mungia, and the Fiora development in Barakaldo. According to Mikel Fernández Goyenechea, AEDAS Homes’ regional manager for the North, demand comes mainly from middle-aged couples who already own a home and are looking for a property suited to their current needs.
The development will incorporate geothermal energy with underfloor heating, thermal regulation systems and façade solutions designed to reduce energy consumption, with which it aims to achieve the highest energy efficiency rating.
Sales are managed from the Aedas Homes office on Calle Alameda de Rekalde in Bilbao, a 200 sqm space from which the developer’s other projects in Bizkaia are also managed.
