Summum Hotel Group has opened its new establishment in Ávila, the Belle Torre Mayorazgo Boutique Hotel, last Thursday, which will become the first property under the Belle Hotels brand in the province. The property joins the group’s portfolio as a benchmark for intimate luxury in rural settings with heritage value.
This new five-star hotel, situated in the municipality of Villatoro – a small town situated north of the Sierra de Gredos – stands on the site of the historic Torre Mayorazgo, a granite structure dating from 1328 and considered the only surviving remnant of a medieval castle built during the reign of Alfonso XI.
Designed as a luxury retreat, the hotel features 12 rooms and suites, categorised as Deluxe, Junior Suite and Duplex Suite. Its facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, landscaped gardens, a restaurant with views of the Sierra de Gredos, a meeting room with capacity for 12 people, and private parking.
With this opening, Summum Hotel Group aims to attract a type of guest seeking to combine historical heritage with a natural setting, capitalising on the property’s location, some two hours’ drive from Madrid.
According to the company, the launch of the hotel consolidates the positioning of Belle Hotels, a brand focused on personalised hospitality and unique accommodation with its own distinct identity.
The operator, based in Palma de Mallorca, currently manages a portfolio of 46 hotels – 43 in operation and 3 under development – spread across domestic destinations such as the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Madrid, Barcelona and Málaga, as well as its international presence in Medellín (Colombia).
