Simed 2025 will bring together more than 180 exhibitors and grow by 17% in participation

Simed, the Mediterranean Real Estate Exhibition, will hold its 21st edition from 13 to 15 November at FYCMA (Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre), organised by Malaga City Council, with a 17% increase in exhibitor participation. The event will bring together more than 180 national and international companies and entities linked to the residential sector, a figure that exceeds 200 if the organisations participating in the forums and professional spaces are included.

The fair has established itself as a meeting point for analysing the development of residential property and housing policies in Europe. This was announced at a press conference by Alicia Izquierdo, Councillor for Innovation and head of FYCMA; María Rosa Morales, regional representative of the Regional Ministry of Development, Territorial Coordination and Housing of the Regional Government of Andalusia; and Juan Manuel Rosillo, president of the Association of Builders and Developers of Malaga (ACP Málaga).

Public-private partnership and European housing policies

The professional programme for Simed 2025 will include the III Public-Private Partnership Forum, a national benchmark in this field, and the III International Meeting on Protected, Social and Affordable Housing, organised by the Municipal Housing Institute of Malaga City Council, the Spanish Association of Public Housing and Land Managers (AVS) and Housing Europe.

Both events will address European housing policies, regional and local management models and the role of public-private partnerships in expanding the residential supply. Representatives from the central government, regional governments, local councils, public entities and private developers will participate.

The City Hub space will showcase urban projects promoted by public administrations and bodies, with the participation of the councils of Malaga and Bilbao, the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Development, SEPES and the AVS itself.

Living and international investment

Among the new features of this edition is the Living in Evolution forum, co-organised with Iberian Property, which will analyse new housing models —flex living, coliving and build to rent— and investment trends in premium housing and branded residences.

The event will also host the Simed-ACP Málaga Meeting Point, which will bring together the CEOs of AQ Acentor, Culmia, Ginko Advisor, Lagoom Living, LandCo, Metrovacesa, Neinor Homes and Urbania, with Juan Verde as guest speaker. In addition, the Prime Homes Summit will be held, an international trade mission with the participation of 11 countries, organised together with Increnta & Avanza in collaboration with Andalucía TRADE.

Innovation and technology applied to real estate

The Innova Zone will focus on technology, industrialisation, sustainable construction and digitalisation, and will include the Innova Forum by Bilba, centred on energy efficiency and advances linked to the PERTE housing programme and the use of digital twins.

The fourth edition of the Open Call for Startups, promoted by the University of Malaga and the Malaga Open for Business office, will also be held, rewarding innovative solutions in the fields of proptech, contech and fintech.

Residential offering and available land

With an exhibition area of 11,000 sqm, Simed will bring together developers, construction companies, financial institutions, investors, consultancies, start-ups and public administrations. The catalogue will include more than 7,600 homes for sale and rent in the eight Andalusian provinces and other regions such as Asturias, the Canary Islands, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Galicia and Madrid, as well as 4,100 homes in international markets — the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

The event will also offer land available for projects with capacity for 7,000 homes in Spain and more than 22,000 abroad, including new builds, second-hand homes, modular homes and social housing.

During the fair, seven new residential projects will be presented by developers such as Inmocala Real Estate (Fuengirola), Villas de Loix (Benidorm), MDL Carlton (Estepona), Grupo Promar (El Rompido, Mijas and Seville), Red Lion (Benalmádena and Valencia), Savills (Fuengirola and Torremolinos) and Culmia (Málaga).
