This was announced by the Minister of Supply, Íñigo de la Serna, during the presentation of the royal decree for this new housing plan, which should be presented on 1 June to become law by 1 January.
Another new principle in the plan is the increase from 600 euros to 900 euros the maximum amount of rent benefit.
In addition, the state and the autonomous regions will also take on the payment of between 150 and 400 euros in rent to the homeless or to vulnerable groups, consisting of 80% from the Ministry and 20% from the regions.
Thus, young people, via this new plan, can count on a plan to help with paying up to 50% rental of an home, and up to 20% of the purchase price of a house. ( with a maximum of 10,800 euros).
For this, people must be under 35 years old and cover less than three times SMI. Rental benefits will be for apartments up to 900 euros per month, increasing therefore the previous top margin of 600 euros in a previous plan.
In respect of people affected by homelessness, they will have 400 euros a month to pay a rent, as long as the rent does not exceed this same price. However, in this case, the residences come from a bank of such, which the Ministry has negotiated to be made available from Sareb and other financial entities.
