According to EjePrime, Mercadona purchased this asset in a public auction carried out by the Aveiro City Hall, and was the only one interested. 20% of the €2.5 million refer to Slaughterhouses of Beira Litoral, according to the agreement that the company signed with the local authority.
Mercadona follows its plan to open 9 spaces in Portugal, mainly in the north of the country. 4 of them must be operational in the first semester of 2019.
