This luxury hotel, located at number 52 Calle de Velázquez within the Spanish capital, offers 111 rooms and opened its doors in May last year.
The current owner, society Didra (controlled by the Ardid-Villoslada family), purchased the asset 4 years ago from the Salaza family and at the time the hotel was named "Gran Hotel Velázquez". Since then, the building was refurbished, reactivated once again in 2019 and managed by Bless Collection Hotels, a brand created in 2007 by Grupo Palladium.
The asset’s marketing process was carried out by consultant JLL. According to sources heard by newspaper El Confidencial, this operation had already been considered before the pandemic and was now reactivated after the Ritz del Londres was sold for a record price even during the pandemic.
The asset’s new owner will be able to not only refurbish the building but also operate it under a new brand.
