According to EjePrime, CPPIB got ahead of the competition of companies like Cerberus or Lone Star in this auction, coordinated by Alantra. The deal may be closed for around 1.000 million euro at current market prices.
If they buy it, this will be the second NPL portfolio the fund purchases from BBVA this year. This last purchase may alienate nearly all its real estate portfolio.
