Group B&B Hotels closed a long-term lease contract for Hotel do Sado Business & Nature which will be transformed into the new B&B Hotel Sado Setúbal, the brand’s fifth unit in our country, with a total of 550 rooms and 12 apartments.
This hotel will have a total 66 single, double and family rooms, with a view over the Parque Natural da Arrábida’s mountain range and the sea, making sure no plastic is used.
Lúcia Méndez-Bonito, the company’s CEO for Spain and Portugal, explained to Negócios that «after a hard year due to Covid-19, the incorporation of this hotel in Portugal strengthens our presence in the Iberian Peninsula».
Torcato Faria, manager at B&B Hotels in Portugal, considered that «this manor house’s incorporation in our Portuguese portfolio is one more example of B&B Hotels commitment towards the region. We are very happy because the bet we made in such a dynamic and attractive market as the Portuguese market is, is now showing its fruits».
After the opening of the hotel in Setubal, the group is preparing new openings. Méndez-Bonito advanced that «we currently have a wide number of ongoing projects and continue seeking opportunities to continue our sustained growth all across the region so as to extend our network to 10 hotels in Portugal in 2021».
