Therus Invest has received initial approval from Getafe City Council to build a new retail park with 29,000 sqm of Gross Lettable Area (GLA). The project will be located at the intersection of the A-4 motorway and Avenida de John Lennon, offering direct access from exit 13 of this main road, as well as a frontage of more than 250 metres in length with direct visibility from the road.
The business park has been designed to attract both local residents and visitors from the rest of the Madrid region. The project includes retail space, restaurants and leisure areas, with a functional and modern approach. In addition, Therus Invest has incorporated in the design various measures aimed at sustainability and energy efficiency, such as the use of renewable energies and construction elements that minimise environmental impact.
From an economic point of view, this real estate development will generate close to 300 direct jobs, boosting local economic activity both during construction and in its operational phase. The developer has entrusted the marketing, technical development and architectural design of the complex to the consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield, which will be responsible for attracting relevant commercial operators and ensuring that the park meets the needs of an estimated catchment area of more than half a million inhabitants.
Guillaume Triet, Managing Director Development at Therus Invest, explains that the company's intention with this project is to create ‘a space that combines strategic location, innovative design and sustainability’, with the aim of making the retail park ‘a benchmark for both brands and consumers’.
