The German drugstore multinational Rossman has closed the lease of its first commercial premises in Barcelona, a shop that will become the most representative of the brand in Spanish territory, according to the communiqué sent by Cushman&Wakefield, which has advised Rossmann on the lease.
The premises chosen by the German chain, with an area of 1,000 square metres, are strategically located on the ground floor of an office building at the intersection of calle Berlín and calle Numància, in the heart of Barcelona's Eixample district.
In this new point of sale, the company will offer its range of beauty and personal care, organic food, accessories and household cleaning products, among others. With the upcoming opening in Barcelona, the multinational will reach 23 establishments in Spain as a whole, where it expects to add twenty more by the end of the year.
Domènec Casellas, head of retail at Cushman&Wakefield in Spain, said that the new Rossmann shop in Barcelona "is a testament to the trust that major international brands place in the city", and assured that "the hiring of physical spaces demonstrates the importance of dealing directly with the customer, the shopping experience, customer acquisition and customer loyalty, which in the main streets of Barcelona remains clearly robust".
