The investment firm Blackstone has put the Espacio León shopping centre up for sale, assigning the consultancy firm JLL the task of identifying potential buyers, according to information provided by Cinco Días. The transaction is estimated to be valued at approximately 60 million euros.

This centre, which opened its doors in 2004 and underwent a renovation in 2018, has 36,600 square metres of floor space and offers more than 1,500 parking spaces. It houses a diverse range of retail and services, including over 100 shops in a variety of sectors such as fashion, home, food and beverage, as well as a Lego Fun Factory and 9 cinemas.

Blackstone has held ownership of Espacio León since 2015 through Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe IV, acquiring this and other relevant assets, including the Almada Forum and Forum Montijo shopping centres in Lisbon.

Recently, the company has also completed the acquisition of the Camino Real retail park, an action derived from the execution of a loan previously granted to the developer Cheverlton Properties last May.
