Metrovacesa has started construction of Residencial Caleida, a new residential development in San Pedro de Visma, one of A Coruña's main urban expansion areas. The project will involve an investment of €28.3 million and comprise 100 homes.
Designed by ARA Arquitectos and being built by SAN JOSÉ Constructora, the scheme will consist of one- to four-bedroom apartments within a 15-storey building above ground-floor level. Residents will have access to a range of communal amenities, including a swimming pool, landscaped gardens, a residents' lounge, parking spaces and storage rooms.
The project is designed to achieve an A energy rating for both non-renewable primary energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. It will incorporate high-efficiency climate control systems, LED lighting in communal areas, enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation, efficient ventilation and water-saving sanitary fittings.
The development forms part of the wider San Pedro de Visma urban expansion, where around 3,600 new homes are planned alongside new avenues, cycle lanes and extensive green spaces.
Residencial Caleida is located next to a 50,000-sqm urban park and benefits from connections to the city's ring road, Marineda City shopping centre, the airport and the motorway network, as well as nearby educational, healthcare, sports and retail facilities.
