Smart Living Properties, the SOCIMI owned by Bestinver (a group owned by Acciona), has acquired a new property in central Madrid, which will be used for flex living.
The asset is located in the Carabanchel district, just a few metres from Oporto metro station, an area renowned for its excellent links to the city centre.
The transaction involved the purchase of a property with a floor area of over 4,000 sqm, intended for comprehensive refurbishment and conversion for use under the flex living model.
“This investment aligns with the company’s strategy focused on consolidation and growth in the alternative living segment, strengthening its position in asset types with solid structural fundamentals and high potential for value creation through the transformation of uses”, stated Bestinver.
With this transaction, the company is making progress towards its objective of creating a diversified and balanced portfolio, designed to meet new demands for temporary and professional accommodation in highly liquid markets such as Madrid.
Bestinver intends to continue to evaluate investment opportunities that are consistent with its investment policy and with the sustainable growth objectives defined by its board of directors.
