Avintia Inmobiliaria has been awarded three lots in a public tender for affordable rental housing promoted by the Community of Madrid. The tender is part of the regional programme to expand the supply of affordable housing through public-private partnerships.
The tender covers the development of more than 3,400 homes in ten municipalities in the region, including Madrid, Alcobendas, Tres Cantos, Móstoles, Loeches and Valdemoro. The process was structured into fourteen lots and received more than 60 bids.
With this award, Avintia Inmobiliaria will develop a total of 859 homes. In Alcobendas, it will develop 756 units spread over two developments located in the Arroyo de la Vega and Espino del Cuquillo areas, while in Loeches it will build another 103 homes. These projects correspond to lots 3, 4 and 12 of the regional tender.
According to information provided by the company, these developments are being added to a portfolio of nearly 6,000 homes in various stages of construction, mainly focused on affordable build-to-rent (BTR) projects.
The homes awarded will be built using the ávita industrialised construction system, developed by Grupo Avintia. This model reduces construction and delivery times by 30%, construction waste by up to 75%, water consumption by 20% and the use of raw materials and concrete by up to 50%. In addition, it reduces noise pollution by 50% and CO₂ emissions by 40%, according to the data provided.
The managing director of Avintia Inmobiliaria, Roberto Campos, pointed out that this award "demonstrates the strength of the company's model and the role of public-private collaboration in responding to the housing challenge".
In addition to its activity in rental housing, Avintia Inmobiliaria has a portfolio of hotel projects exceeding 1,000 rooms and is also developing initiatives in the care home and flex living segments, also based on industrialised construction systems.
