Kutxabank has sold its building located on Calle Dato 11, in the heart of Vitoria, to a company controlled by the Arrasate Group, through an online auction process organized by the addmeet.com portal.
The auctioned building was built in 1968 and will be fully rehabilitated for residential use. It is located on Calle Dato 11 in Vitoria at the intersection of Calle Dato and Calle General Alava, the main commercial hubs of the capital of the Basque Country. It has 2,875 sqm built above ground level distributed over 6 floors, with a remaining buildable area of up to 3,171 sqm. On the ground floor is the "Luis Ajuria" room, the former auditorium of the former Caja Vital.
Formerly leased to the Vitoria City Council, the building has aroused a lot of interest in the market, as it is the only building available in the center of Vitoria to be able to develop a residential development of a remarkable size. In addition, its central location makes its stores a target for the big high street retail brands.
In total, eight offers were received from local, national and international companies.
