AM48 is moving forward with the new construction phase of 1965 Cidade Jardim, an investment of €60 million that will add a further 123 flats to the development located in Santo António dos Cavaleiros, in the municipality of Loures.
The new phase consists of two buildings, Thomaz and Telles, comprising 46 and 77 one- to four-bedroom flats respectively. Both offer private parking with pre-installation for electric vehicle charging, storage rooms, communal areas and co-working spaces, a swimming pool, green spaces and balconies or terraces in all units.
According to the developer, construction of this new phase is set to begin with 35% of the new units already sold; a Continente Bom Dia supermarket covering around 2,000 sqm in the Telles building and a 900 sqm gym and wellness centre in the Thomaz building have also been confirmed.
Developed in phases, 1965 Cidade Jardim represents a total investment of over €140 million and will create 400 flats, spread across seven BREEAM-certified buildings, as well as 5,000 sqm dedicated to retail and services and 900 public and private parking spaces. Construction of the Oliveira buildings began in February this year, with over 70% of the flats already sold.
The development will also involve a major overhaul of the urban green space that links the development, where more than 400 trees and shrubs will be planted and two new children’s play areas, a viewing point, a playing field and a space for a kiosk will be created.
“1965 Cidade Jardim represents a new generation of urban projects, designed to integrate housing, retail, services, soft mobility and green leisure areas within a single ecosystem. We believe there is a growing demand for integrated projects, offering urban quality and accessibility, outside the centre of Lisbon,” commented Francisca Martins, director of the AM48 group.
