Insurer Zurich has signed a lease agreement with CET Academic Programs for more than 1,300 square metres in its AM 3640 building in Barcelona, according to EjePrime.
Built in 1914, the building is located in Eixample Derecho - specifically in Calle Ausiàs March 36-40, hence its name - and has a surface area of 5,372 square metres, distributed over six floors. It has Leed Gold environmental certification from the Green Building Council, among others. Industry sources indicate that the transaction was brokered by BNP and Busquets Gálvez. The building is co-exclusively marketed by Cbre and BNP.
The tenant, CET Academic Programs, is an American organisation in charge of developing international educational programmes. The company announced in recent months that it was adding Barcelona to its list of locations, one of the most sought-after by students, according to the company. CET already works in other European destinations such as Florence (Italy) and Prague (Czech Republic), so in Barcelona it will follow a similar model to these two locations.
