The Worx Real Estate Consultants announces the placement of Volkswagen Digital Solutions in the Pócio Pórtico building, next to Praça de Espanha, in Lisbon, acting on behalf of the Bank Santander Pension Fund, the entity that owns the leased area.
Volkswagen Digital Solutions aims to boost the Volkswagen Group's digital journey. The company will now occupy around 1,600 sqm next to Praça de España and Sete Rios.
This decision follows the company's significant growth in recent years, and the choice of this new location proved to be ideal for Volkswagen Digital Solutions.
The space, previously occupied by BNP Paribas, was left in excellent condition. In addition, the strategic location of the Pócio Pórtico building, close to all types of transport, but also to the city center and the main accesses, were important decision factors.
"This is an excellent asset, with a great location and set within the prestigious Pórtico building. The strategy defined for this asset has always been to rent it out, and there has been a high level of demand and interest from the market, both in purchasing and renting, which has only attested to the quality of our property, and it is also for this reason that we decided to preserve it in the Banco Santander Pension Fund portfolio. We were very pleased to close this contract with Volkswagen Digital Solutions, which belongs to a group with a great reputation worldwide", said Luís Figueiredo, Director of Santander Pensões.
From Volkswagen Digital Solutions, Teresa Relvas, Director of Corporate Functions, emphasized that "since our employees are our best asset, we are focused on guaranteeing, in the choice of our spaces, the centrality and flexibility that is so necessary for the dynamics that our teams demand in our hybrid working model". The Pócio Pórtico building thus complements the VWDS offices in order to respond to the VW Group's continued growth and investment in Portugal.
