DeHouse, a start-up specialising in the comprehensive management of coworking spaces, has just opened its latest workspace in the city of Porto - DeHouse Península. Located in Praça do Bom Sucesso, with a capacity for 300 users and a multitude of spaces, Dehouse Península will give a new use to the entire top floor of the Península Boutique Center, while also contributing to the revitalisation of this space.
For Tiago Carvalho Araújo, CEO and Co-founder of Dehouse, ‘this space follows the same philosophy as the other spaces we manage, which today represent 1,400 users spread over 5 locations: revitalising existing spaces by giving them a new lease of life’.
He added: ‘DeHouse stands out for anticipating market needs, integrating adaptable design, advanced technology and personalised services to create environments that balance collaboration and productivity. We see ourselves as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship and growth, capable of attracting both local and international talent, but also as an engine for urban regeneration in the cities where we are present, believing that this positioning contributes to building more sustainable cities.’
The space, in the Península Boutique Centre, is part of Sonae Sierra's portfolio and is owned by the BPI Imofomento real estate fund, managed by BPI Gestão de Ativos.
‘The growth of flex offices reflects an adaptation to the new realities and demands of the market. The combination of flexibility, technology, well-being and sustainability is moulding a new model of corporate environment that not only contributes to greater operational efficiency, but also to greater attraction and retention of talent, which makes BPI Imofomento want to play an active role in the development of this new paradigm,’ says Jorge Sousa Teixeira, CEO of BPI Gestão de Ativos.
For Cristina Santos, Executive Director, Property Management & Leasing at Sonae Sierra, ‘the commercialisation and installation of the new Dehouse Península flex office materialises, in essence, Sierra's commitment to the continuous valorisation of the assets under management and its capacity to respond to the emerging challenges of the cities where it operates. We act with the aim of creating and diversifying our offer, focussing on the needs of specific communities. We position the portfolio of assets under management as drivers of innovation and urban development, promoting a more dynamic and sustainable ecosystem.’
It was also announced that BPI Gestão de Ativos and Sonae Sierra are finalising the terms of the future opening of DeHouse at Picoas Plaza in Lisbon, reflecting BPI Imofomento's commitment to the flex office segment, Sonae Sierra's vision for the future of commercial space, and DeHouse's growth trajectory at a national level.
In December, DeHouse took over the management of the former Selina Navis Coworking in Porto, located in the historic Arab Building. The space will be adapted to continue to be a dynamic centre for work, innovation and collaboration.
