Siemens has started construction of its new corporate campus in Las Tablas, northern Madrid, following an investment of €160 million. The project, first announced in 2023, is expected to be completed in 2028.
The future headquarters will comprise 22,000 sqm of office and service space, close to Madrid Nuevo Norte. Both the land and the future building will be owned by Siemens.
Designed as a smart campus, the development will incorporate electrification, energy distribution, fire protection and building automation systems operating through a common data infrastructure. It will also feature photovoltaic power generation, electric vehicle charging points and mobility solutions.
The project was designed by Arquitectura La-Hoz, while Ferrovial will be responsible for construction. In addition to workspaces, the campus will include coworking areas, food and beverage facilities, green spaces and sports facilities.
The headquarters has been designed to seek LEED Platinum, WELL, WiredScore and SmartScore certifications, covering sustainability, wellbeing, digital connectivity and smart building management.
The campus is expected to accommodate around 2,600 employees when it becomes operational, scheduled for early 2029.
The project has the backing of Invest in Madrid, the regional office responsible for attracting and supporting international investment.
