Sareb has decided to sell its headquarters located in the Mirasierra neighbourhood under a sale&leaseback format, so it has hired Anticipa-Aliseda to handle the transaction, which could raise up to €30 million, according to Expansión.
The building, located at number 12, Costa Brava street, totals 6,000 square metres divided into four floors, one of which has been occupied by Banca March for some months. Sareb has occupied the property since the end of 2020, when it decided to move into the building after spending around four million euros on its refurbishment.
Sareb's mandate is to liquidate all the toxic assets transferred by financial institutions since its creation in 2012, for which it has a fifteen-year deadline, which expires in 2027, a goal that the entity may not achieve, according to company sources. Sareb raised the accumulated losses of its financial and real estate portfolios to 11,621 million euros in 2022, 2,994 million euros more than in 2021, according to its annual report.
