The German fund Patrizia has sold the McCann headquarters office building in Barcelona to the French firm Perial Asset Management. The transaction was advised by Savills.
The current McCann headquarters has a surface area of approximately 2,740 sqm and is LEED Platinum certified. The asset was acquired by Patrizia in January 2019. The asset, located at 123 Ciudad de Granada street in the prime area of the Barcelona neighbourhood, shares a block with the Luxa buildings and is opposite Parc Glòries.
This is not Perial Asset Management's first purchase in 22@: the firm completed two transactions in 2019 and 2020. Three years ago, the asset manager closed the purchase of an office building located at 250 Bolivia Street in 2019, with a total surface area of 3,520 square metres.
Carlos Bajo, director of Capital Markets Barcelona Offices at Savills, points out that "this fully refurbished, Leed Platinum asset, strategically located in the prime area of 22@, has attracted great interest from investors, demonstrating the prominence of 22@ in our market".
