LOOM, the flexible office division of Merlin Properties, has opened one of the largest coworking spaces in Spain in Madrid's prime office area, AZCA, in the recently refurbished Ruiz Picasso 11 building. This building, located in the heart of the city's business district, houses the headquarters of companies such as IBM, SAP, Willis Towers Watson and Globant.
The new space, called LOOM Azca, has a surface area of almost 9,000 sqm distributed over three floors, one of which is dedicated exclusively to events. According to the company, the project stands out for its design, focused on productivity and user wellbeing, with the use of natural materials such as wood and metals in warm tones that create a calm and welcoming atmosphere, complemented by advanced technology.
LOOM Azca has become the headquarters of the OneTrust technology company, specialising in digital security, which occupies 2,500 sqm, with capacity for 230 workstations, distributed in 19 offices and 10 meeting rooms.
The space also houses the Madrid Innovation Hub, Patio Campus, which recently inaugurated its facilities on more than 1,800 square metres. This hub offers 206 workstations, a branding space for corporations, 15 meeting rooms and an agora for events, consolidating itself as a strategic point for business innovation.
On the lower floor of the building, LOOM Events Azca has a space designed for events with capacity for 1,000 people. This area includes three multi-purpose rooms with direct access to the AZCA gardens, six meeting rooms, a recording set for filming and streaming, a podcast room and three outdoor terraces.
In December, LOOM will also open a new space in Campo de las Naciones, opposite IFEMA and with direct access to the airport, aimed at companies with international connection needs.
With these additions, LOOM will close 2024 with a total of 15 flexible workspaces in Spain, reaching a total surface area of 40,500 sqm, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the sector.
