Inditex will build a new campus in Sant Adrià de Besòs (Barcelona), where it will move the headquarters of Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Oysho and Lefties, currently located in Tordera. This move is part of a strategic reorganisation of its activity in Catalonia, which also includes the strengthening of its logistics platform in Tordera-Palafolls, key to the distribution of products of several of its brands in international markets.
The new campus will be developed in collaboration with local and regional administrations, within the process of urban transformation of the area near the mouth of the Besòs River and the area around Les Tres Xemeneies. The future facilities will be designed to bring together in a single space the areas of design, product development, pattern making, window dressing, commercial management, e-commerce and technology of the four brands affected by the relocation.
The company has indicated that the project will pay special attention to the integration of the new offices into the urban environment, with a unique architectural design that will be aligned with the regeneration plans for the area.
The relocation of these offices will allow Inditex to reinforce the operational capacity of its logistics platform in Tordera-Palafolls, from where the international distribution of Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Oysho is managed. The company has indicated that this complex has been the object of recurring investments aimed at improving its efficiency and expanding its distribution capacity.
In addition to these changes, Inditex maintains a strong presence in Catalonia with Stradivarius' headquarters in Cerdanyola del Vallès, its logistics centre in Sallent and a network of more than 170 shops. The company currently employs more than 8,500 people in the autonomous community.
