Alvarez & Marsal moves its offices in Madrid to Castellana

The lease was signed yesterday and it is expected that after the summer the US consultancy firm will move its 200-strong workforce from its current headquarters in Torre Europa, at 95 Paseo de la Castellana, to the new building, which was the historic headquarters of Ahorro Corporación.

According to Expansión, the new A&M offices have 3,110 square metres, double the current size, to absorb the growth the firm is experiencing in Spain, where it landed in 2014. The consultancy firm will replace Netflix in the building, which also has Deloitte and Alain Afflelou as tenants.

Corporación Financiera Alba bought Paseo de la Castellana 89 from Ahorro Corporación for €147 million in 2015. The property has more than 20,000 square metres distributed over 12 floors of rented office space, another floor of retail space and some 550 parking spaces.

Azca, the heart of Madrid's business district, has performed very well in terms of rents in recent years, encouraged in part by the refurbishment of the buildings and the good occupancy figures for the area. According to CBRE data, at the end of 2024 the average rent in Azca stood at €33 per square metre per month, above the €30 average for the capital's business district as a whole. The highest prices in this area exceed €40 per square metre per month for the best repositioned and refurbished buildings.
