Spain Sotheby’s International Realty has launched its new Capital Markets division, a unit specialising in the brokerage of high-volume investment property assets and corporate transactions in the Spanish market. This division will focus on institutional investors, family offices and high-net-worth international clients seeking private and off-market opportunities.
The move forms part of the company’s growth strategy for 2026, driven by Spain’s current momentum as a real estate investment destination within the European context.
The new business unit will focus on managing and advising on transactions involving hotel assets, corporate buildings, residential portfolios, logistics warehouses, development projects and asset repositioning processes.
The nature of these financial transactions requires a high level of technical expertise and international networks, given that a large proportion of these assets are not traded through traditional public channels. The interest of international funds and private wealth managers is primarily focused on specific segments such as the hospitality sector, residential (living), logistics and mixed-use assets.
The firm has a presence in 86 countries and employs more than 26,000 advisers worldwide. In Spain, the company has 13 offices following previous expansion into markets such as Madrid, Barcelona, Mallorca, Ibiza, Marbella and Cádiz.
