Molins has acquired 90% of the capital of Zenet, a company specialising in the manufacture and marketing of reinforced and prestressed structural prefabricated elements. The operation is part of the group's growth strategy in the field of industrialised construction applied to residential building.
Zenet, based in Escalonilla (Toledo), has a production plant located on a 184,000 sqm site, from which it can manufacture up to 45,000 ssqm of floor elements per month. The company has a workforce of 50 professionals and focuses its activity on residential, industrial and civil engineering projects. Following the transaction, César Abad, founding partner of Zenet, retains a stake in the company.
Founded in 2007, Zenet specialises in structural solutions for industrialised construction systems, including hollow core slabs, one of the most widely used elements in this type of building. The integration of the company allows Molins to expand its production capacity and its range of solutions in a context of high demand for industrialised housing in the central area of the Iberian Peninsula.
This acquisition is the third corporate transaction carried out by Molins in the precast concrete business in recent months. This is in addition to the purchase of Concremat in Portugal and Baupartner, which operates in south-eastern Europe, as part of a roadmap aimed at increasing industrial coverage and proximity to the main demand markets.
