The French Advenis Real Estate Investment Management has finalized, through the Elialys SCPI, the purchase of the Coín mental health clinic, located in the province of Málaga.
According to Advenis, the purchase price, excluding taxes, was €2.45 million. The buyer was advised by the law firm Andersen, whilst the seller was advised by the consultancy firm Colliers.
The asset is operated by Ita Salud Mental, a specialist division of the French group Clariane, formerly known as Korian. As part of the transaction, a new long-term lease agreement has been signed, ensuring business continuity and operational stability for the new owner.
The clinic specialises in the treatment of mental health and behavioural disorders in minors, with patients aged between 12 and 18. It has 40 inpatient beds and a floor area of approximately 1,250 sqm on a site covering over 21,700 sqm.
The centre features facilities designed for a holistic therapeutic approach, including spacious outdoor areas and amenities such as a swimming pool, sports court, training rooms and communal spaces.
Laura Díaz, Director of Healthcare at Colliers, has highlighted the importance of this type of asset in the current market context. “This transaction underscores the growing prominence of mental health within the healthcare sector, particularly among the younger population,” she notes, further emphasising “the clear lack of specialised provision in the face of rising demand”.
