Scannell Properties has signed a new lease agreement at its logistics platform in San Agustín del Guadalix (Madrid) with Fitness Deluxe, a company specialising in the distribution of material and equipment for sports facilities and gyms. The operation comprises an 8,000 sqm module and will allow the operator to strengthen its logistics network in the Iberian Peninsula and southern Europe.
The asset, known as Logistic Park San Agustín, is located 25 minutes from the centre of Madrid, with direct access to the A-1 motorway. This connection facilitates communication with the Cantabrian corridor and the French border, which represents an operational advantage for the management of the supply chain.
The platform consists of four logistics modules, one of which is already occupied by the Joanca Group. The design includes a warehouse headroom of 11.5 metres, loading bays, a large manoeuvring yard and efficiency-oriented construction standards. The complex is BREEAM certified at "Excellent" level.
According to Javier Inchauspe, general manager of Scannell Properties in Spain and Portugal, "the entry into Logistic Park San Agustín represents a new step in the logistics expansion of our client, who values our commitment to sustainability, innovation and the quality of the platform".
Fitness Deluxe operates in Europe and North Africa. With this new facility, the company aims to absorb the expected growth and improve the efficiency of its supply chain. By 2025, it expects to reach a turnover of 22 million euros, which would represent an increase of 20% compared to the previous year.
