Portuguese company Sermail – Logística Integrada has leased a new warehouse in Palmela as part of its expansion strategy. The leased property is owned by Ecologis, a joint venture between Caprock Investment Partners and Europi Property Group, which currently has more than 140,000 sqm of logistics warehouses in Portugal.
Cushman & Wakefield supported the Portuguese company, which specialises in providing logistics services to the pharmaceutical industry, in identifying the most suitable solution for its operational needs.
With a total area of 4,000 sqm, the new space will increase Sermail's storage, transport and distribution capacity. The property has several loading and unloading bays, high ceilings and benefits from a strategic location next to the A2 motorway, ensuring excellent accessibility between Lisbon and the south bank.
Francisco Quintanicho, consultant in Cushman & Wakefield's Industrial, Logistics and Land department, comments that "we are pleased to have supported Ecologis in identifying a tenant and Sermail in identifying a solution tailored to its needs. This new warehouse will meet the company's operational requirements, allowing it to optimise and consolidate its activity".
João Tenreiro Gonçalves, Partner at Caprock, states that "we are delighted to have Sermail, one of the national leaders in logistics services for the pharmaceutical industry, as a tenant of Ecologis' Palmela logistics platform, joining Machrent and enabling us to achieve full occupancy".
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Vialonga, Sermail specialises in integrated services for direct mailing, handling, merchandising, transport and storage of pharmaceutical products, medical devices and raw materials. Sermail combines consolidated experience and innovation to meet the demands of a highly regulated and competitive sector.
