The Spanish subsidiary of the American developer has announced the signing of a contract for the development of a new turnkey project in Alcantarilla, Murcia. The project will be developed for Alfil Logistics, a comprehensive multimodal logistics operator, and will have two custom warehouses, of 20,500 square meters and 22,500 sqm respectively, and an additional office area of 1,800 sqm.
The asset will have a gross leasable area (GLA) of 45,000 sqm, within a plot of a total of 75,000 sqm. The delivery dates of both ships, for this development planned in two phases, are mid and late 2022, respectively, having started to date the earthworks.

For its part, Alfil Logistics will take advantage of this new logistics platform to centralize and consolidate all its logistics operations in the Region of Murcia and provide logistics services to the Estrella de Levante brewing company, a subsidiary of the Damm Group.
The project will be developed in the San Andrés de Alcantarilla business park, located just 7 kilometers from Murcia city, next to the A-7 motorway and two of the main road networks in the area, which provides direct access to the Mediterranean Corridor and thus streamlines distribution to the entire Levantine area.
The Alcantarilla logistics park will have a total of 42 docks and large parking areas for vehicle operations, as well as LED lighting, electric chargers, photovoltaic energy supply and intelligent management through its Building Management System (BMS) . These characteristics are recognized by the Breeam 'Very Good' sustainability certification conferred on the building.
Since opening an office in Spain in March 2020, Panattoni has ensured the launch of more than 300,000 sqm of leasable area of logistics warehouses in eight autonomous communities, and has completed and delivered more than 50,000 sqm of warehouses.
