Panattoni has closed the lease of its Panattoni Park Getafe I project with Geimex, a company dedicated to the distribution of car body spare parts. The asset, with a gross leasable area (GLA) of 9,200 sqm, is located in the Madrid municipality of Getafe, within the first metropolitan ring road and with direct access to the A-4. It is Panattoni Iberia's first development in this area.
The project has been built on a 17,000 sqm plot and has a clear height of 11 metres. In addition to its location, close to towns such as Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, Móstoles, Leganés and Parla, the asset stands out for its versatility for different logistics and industrial activities, according to the real estate company. The facilities include a 130 sqm office area on the ground floor, nine loading bays for trucks and twelve additional bays for vans.
Panattoni Park Getafe I has been developed on brownfields and is BREEAM certified at ‘Excellent’ level. The project has incorporated energy efficiency measures and adaptation to the environment, such as floor-to-ceiling windows with light control in offices, improvements in thermal insulation and landscaping with native vegetation and low water consumption. These features were valued by Geimex in its choice of the property.
‘It is a pleasure to welcome Geimex to Panattoni Park Getafe; it is a very special project, being our first in the Community of Madrid and achieving the highest BREEAM ‘Excellent’ score in Spain,’ said Gustavo Cardozo, general manager and partner of Panattoni Iberia.
Francesc Morales Vericat, director of Geimex, said: ‘We are excited to begin this new chapter in our facilities. This warehouse not only offers us greater logistics capabilities, but also underlines our vision for the future and our commitment to quality service'.
