Mileway has signed a long-term lease agreement with Franuí at Silla Logistics Park in Valencia. The Argentine company will occupy a unit of approximately 3,600 sqm within the first phase of the development, which will have a total logistics area of around 33,000 sqm.
The park is developed and managed by Mileway on behalf of opportunistic funds managed by Blackstone and is located in the industrial area of Silla. The asset has connections to the main road network, as well as to the port and airport of Valencia.
Franuí, which specialises in the production of frozen chocolate-covered raspberries, has a plant in Alcàsser, close to the new centre. The module will serve as its first logistics warehouse in Europe for frozen products and will have a capacity of 3,500 pallets, from where the company distributes to more than 40 European countries.
The space incorporates loading bays for lorries and vans, access ramps and a clear height of 11 metres, features designed for the handling of goods with cold chain requirements.
Guillermo Ravell, Country Director of Mileway in Spain and Portugal, points out that the operation confirms the demand for logistics spaces in strategic locations in the province of Valencia. For her part, Leticia Fenoglio, CEO and founder of Franuí, states that the implementation in Silla will allow the centralisation of European logistics operations from a location close to its production plant.
Silla Logistics Park is designed to qualify for BREEAM Excellent certification and is planned to be developed in several flexible modules. The incorporation of Franuí marks the start of activity at the complex.
