Merlin Properties has presented its new logistics development, Valencia Bétera Park, in Bétera (Valencia). The complex is located in the metropolitan area's first logistics ring, with direct access to the A-7 and A-3 motorways and connections to the Port of Valencia. The location is part of an area driven by the Mediterranean Corridor, which accounts for a significant proportion of national and international distribution activity.
The project will exceed 95,000 sqm of gross leasable area, distributed over three 25,000 sqm warehouses and one 20,000 sqm warehouse. The buildings will have clear heights of 13.70 metres, 50-metre manoeuvring areas and technical specifications adapted to the current needs of e-commerce and distribution. The first warehouse, currently under construction, is scheduled for completion before the end of summer 2026.
The construction work will generate around 250 jobs, and the company estimates that the park's activity could mobilise around 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. The development is expected to attract operators who demand modern facilities with the capacity to optimise their logistics processes.
The park will have LEED Gold energy certification and will incorporate photovoltaic installations designed to improve energy efficiency. The warehouses will integrate construction solutions aimed at reducing environmental impact and facilitating the operations of future occupants.
The presentation ceremony brought together institutional representatives, including the mayor of Bétera, Elia Verdevío Escribá, as well as executives from Merlin Properties and companies collaborating in the urbanisation and construction works.
