Meridia is promoting a new logistics development in Martorell (Barcelona), located in one of the consolidated areas of the metropolitan area's first logistics ring. The company has commissioned Savills and JLL, on a co-exclusive basis, to market the asset.
The project, currently under construction and scheduled for completion in the third quarter of this year, is located next to the SEAT plant and the Lidl logistics centre, in a newly created industrial estate. It has direct access to the A-2 and AP-7 motorways and is located 32 kilometres from the Port of Barcelona, 34 kilometres from Barcelona Airport and about 30 minutes from the city centre.
The property will have a total built area of 26,315 sqm on a 36,790 sqm plot. Of this total, 22,430 sqm will be used for warehousing, 1,440 sqm for offices and 2,445 sqm for industrial mezzanine space.
Its technical features include a clear height of 11.5 metres, 25 loading bays and an access ramp, a concrete structure and a high-risk fire protection system (level 8). The project has been designed with efficiency in mind and has been awarded BREEAM certification at the Outstanding level.
