The logistics services company Logista will be the end client for the construction of two warehouses in the Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL), located near El Prat Airport in Barcelona. The larger of the two will be operated by Logista itself, while the other will be used by its parcel and last-mile subsidiary, Nacex.
The complex will be situated on a 49,783-sqm plot, adjacent to the airport’s infrastructure. The tender specifications state that these are turnkey projects. The property comprises two separate warehouses, both equipped with offices, according to El Mercantil.
The first warehouse has a floor area of 12,000 sqm, and Cilsa – a joint venture between Barcelona Airport and Merlin Properties – plans to carry out B2B distribution activities there, incorporating refrigerated and frozen storage facilities, as well as cross-docking and a dedicated tobacco handling area. Meanwhile, the smaller warehouse, with a floor area of approximately 6,000 sqm, is designated solely for cross-docking, in addition to the offices themselves.
The tender for the construction of the two hangars, located on plot 120, was launched this Monday. The plot was awarded to Aena at Barcelona Airport in March 2025. According to the documents, bidding companies have until next Monday, 29 June, to submit their tenders.
Once this period has elapsed, the companies will have one year to complete the construction work. Cilsa, the company managing the ZAL, is offering a maximum contract value of €23.7 million, although it has left the door open to increasing this amount by 10% should certain project requirements be met.
