El Corte Inglés has acquired a last-mile logistics centre located in Villaverde, Madrid, from LaSalle Investment Management, in a deal valued at around €40 million.
According to Expansión, the asset, with a floor area of approximately 22,000 sqm, is used for the distribution of online food orders in the capital. The company had already been operating from these facilities since 2024 and has exercised its right of first refusal to take ownership of the property.
The warehouse has more than 30 loading bays and is designed for urban logistics operations, in a context where proximity to the end customer is crucial for delivery efficiency.
Until now, the property was part of LaSalle’s portfolio, and the transaction marks El Corte Inglés’ transition from tenant to owner of a facility already integrated into its logistics network.
