The Corum Eurion fund, managed by Corum Asset Management, has leased an industrial property in the Vale Tripeiro Industrial Park in Benavente to HyChem – Química Sustentável for a period of 20 years. This property was built in 2004 and completely refurbished in 2022, having been acquired by Corum Eurion in 2022, in an investment of €10 million.
The refurbishment work carried out between 2021 and 2022 transformed this industrial unit into a green building, with renewable energy production for self-consumption, as well as electric vehicle charging stations, among other features that contribute to compliance with ESG criteria and made it possible to integrate it into the Corum Eurion fund, an ESG-certified fund.
According to Ricardo Quaresma, Corum's Senior Asset Manager for Southern Europe and Poland, "we are very pleased with the occupancy of this property with its unique characteristics because it fits not only with the ESG strategy of the CORUM Eurion fund, but also with HyChen, which has been consistently investing in industrial transformation and decarbonisation". The CORUM team involved in the placement of this distinctive asset also included José Maria Ceregeiro, the company's asset manager.
Corum, a French management company with an office in Lisbon, owns 20 properties in Portugal through its Corum Origin, Corum XL and Corum Eurion funds. The Corum funds recently invested in the purchase of a portfolio of Solinca gyms from SC Fitness in a sale and leaseback transaction and a logistics park in Azambuja, in a combined investment totalling more than €50 million.
