The alliance between Bain Capital and Conren Tramway is planning a new logistics park in the municipality of Sils, in the province of Girona. The initiative envisages a built area of 58,340 sqm on a plot of over 80,000 sqm, located in an area of high industrial activity and close to the AP-7 motorway, one of the main logistics corridors in the Mediterranean arc.
The plan includes two independent warehouses, each with more than 29,000 sqm, configured for operators requiring large, adaptable spaces. The facilities are designed with a clear height of more than ten metres, a large manoeuvring area and a large number of loading bays, enabling intensive storage and distribution operations.
The project incorporates criteria aimed at energy efficiency and environmental performance in buildings, with the intention of obtaining high-level sustainability certifications. Construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2026, at a time when demand for modern, well-connected logistics space continues to be significant in Catalonia.
The location of Sils, close to the French border and connected to the main transport routes, remains attractive to logistics operators and investors. In this context, the proposal by Bain Capital and Conren Tramway expands the future supply in a market with limited availability of large spaces in strategic locations.
