Ramat Group and a group of private investors have purchased the Mongibello Ibiza hotel from Stoneweg Hospitality and Bain Capital for €60 million.
The hotel, situated in Santa Eulària des Riu, has 168 rooms, including 32 suites, and is located on the seafront. Following its acquisition, it underwent a comprehensive refurbishment under the management of Concept Hotel Group, which will continue to operate it as part of Grupo Ramat’s hospitality portfolio.
The repositioning gave rise to the current Mongibello Ibiza, an establishment inspired by the Italian aesthetic of the 1960s and 1970s, offering a combination of dining, leisure and its own cultural programme.
The deal marks the completion of a strategy launched in 2022, when Stoneweg Hospitality and Bain Capital acquired the property through a joint venture with the aim of transforming and repositioning it within the premium lifestyle segment.
For both firms, the sale marks the divestment of an asset acquired as part of a value-creation strategy in the Balearic hotel market, which continues to attract investor interest due to strong tourist demand and a shortage of prime properties in established destinations.
CBRE acted as adviser and intermediary for the transaction.
