Pictet Alternative buys the Kimpton Aysla Mallorca hotel

Pictet Alternative Advisors has acquired the five-star Kimpton Aysla Mallorca hotel, located in the municipality of Calviá, in the Balearic Islands.

The operation, formalized as a turnkey sale and advised by Colliers, has been structured through a joint venture with the current owner, in which the Swiss fund has a majority stake.

Intercontinental Hotels Group, under its luxury lifestyle brand Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, will manage the property, becoming the brand's first vacation establishment in Spain and its second in the country, after Kimpton Vividora Barcelona.

The establishment, currently under construction, is located in Santa Ponsa and occupies a 21,840 sqm plot next to the Santa Ponsa Golf Club and the Santa Ponsa Tennis Club. Its accommodation offer includes two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool, a spa and wellness area, a gym, as well as meeting and convention rooms for events and top-quality restaurants. And its inauguration is scheduled for mid-2022.
