The Onyria Group has acquired the Martinhal Cascais hotel from Elegant Group. The owner of the brands Onyria Golf Resorts, Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel and Onyria Quinta da Marinha Golf, thus integrates again the hotel in its business portfolio in Quinta da Marinha.
The Stern family, owner of the Elegant Group, accepted the offer in October, and the property will be handed over on 8 January 2023, according to Publituris. Those in charge of the company assure that Martinhal Cascais will "continue to be a top five star hotel, where staff and guests will be treated with the utmost respect and care", in a statement quoted by the website.
The Pinto Coelho family has owned the golf course since 1985 and the Quinta da Marinha hotel since 1999 - "bearing in mind the other properties and businesses of the Onyria Group at Quinta da Marinha, this hotel makes perfect sense for the brand's portfolio", the Elegant Group said in a statement.
