Líbere Hospitality Group (LHG) has opened Líbere Porto Gaia, a 21-unit accommodation asset in Vila Nova de Gaia, strengthening its presence in the Portuguese market.
Located at Rua do Pilar, 48, the property comprises two blocks connected at ground-floor level. It is situated close to the Serra do Pilar viewpoint and the Luís I Bridge, which connects Gaia with Porto’s historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The opening follows the launch of Líbere Porto Laranjais in 2025, bringing LHG’s total number of assets in Porto to two. Portugal is a key market in the group’s international expansion strategy, driven by its tourism activity and growing appeal to both leisure and business travellers.
“The incorporation of new establishments in Porto reflects our commitment to cities with strong tourism, cultural and economic appeal”, said Antón de la Rica, Co-CEO of LHG. “Gaia is a location with its own identity within the Porto metropolitan area. Our objective is to continue incorporating assets that add value to the portfolio and to make progressive advances in those markets where we see long-term potential”, he added.
LHG said Porto has become one of Portugal’s main tourism and business hubs, supported by its international profile, historic heritage, gastronomy and economic dynamism. The group intends to continue expanding its portfolio progressively in markets with long-term growth potential.
