Fuerte Group Hotels, the hotel division of Grupo El Fuerte, has commenced construction of the Daia La Herradura hotel, its first property in the Andalusian province of Granada.
The build represents an investment of over €14 million, and the hotel is scheduled to open in 2028.
The property is situated on the seafront and is a five-star establishment recommended for adults, housing a total of 220 rooms, 20 of which have direct access to the pool from the terrace. Its facilities will include several swimming pools with jacuzzis, a dedicated wellness area, a gym, an outdoor yoga area, and an atelier. In addition, its dining options will include a rooftop bar, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant and a bar next to the sun terrace.
Once it opens, Daia La Herradura will become the company’s tenth property in Spain. In addition to its hotel properties, the company owns two holiday apartment complexes, offering a total of 2,864 rooms across Spain, Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
The company highlights that La Herradura “enjoys a privileged microclimate, with particularly mild temperatures in spring and autumn, allowing visitors to enjoy the destination for much of the year. Added to this are the crystal-clear waters of its bay, renowned for their extraordinary clarity and considered among the best in Andalusia for scuba diving”.
The Andalusian company founded in 1957 by José Luque Manzano focuses on 4- and 5-star hotels, the majority of which are located within Andalusia.
