AX Partners has completed the acquisition of the Casa Luz hotel, a renowned boutique hotel in Barcelona, in a deal valued at around €40 million.
Located next to Plaça Catalunya and Las Ramblas, the Hotel Casa Luz is a property in the lifestyle segment that combines a central location with a unique offering. The property stands out for its Mediterranean aesthetic, its iconic terrace and the prestigious Casa Luz Restaurant.
It will be AX Partners’ ninth hotel asset, and its acquisition forms part of a strategy focused on assets with high potential for appreciation and long-term value creation.
The purchase adds a new strategic asset to the company’s portfolio. Furthermore, it enables AX Partners to exceed €200 million in gross asset value within its hotel division, as part of a total portfolio that already exceeds €300 million in assets under management. The firm has focused its activity on investments located in prime areas with potential for value creation. This transaction fits this strategy as it involves a property situated in one of the most sought-after areas of the Catalan capital.
The purchase of the Casa Luz hotel has served to consolidate AX Partners’ presence in the Barcelona market, where it recently acquired the Casa Joan Bertrand building on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.
