Anpora buys the Hotel Alexandra for €32M

Alantra's partner, Ricardo Portabella, through Grupo Anpora, has acquired the Hotel Alexandra in Barcelona from the Borrell family. According to Crónica Global, Portabella has paid 32 million euros for the asset operated by Hilton under the Curio brand.

The complex has 116 rooms and services such as gyms, sauna and massage rooms, as well as four multifunctional meeting spaces with capacity for 150 people.

The real estate sector in Spain has registered an investment volume of 7,842 million euros in the first nine months of the year, which is 16% more than in the same period of 2020, according to provisional figures from CBRE.

Investment in the third quarter of the year reached 2,628 million euros, above the 1,620 million registered in the same months last year. Multifamily, with 1,875 million euros, and hotels (1,869 million) are the sectors that have registered the highest volume of investment from January to September. The most active type of investor has been of national origin, with 33% of the total, representing, together with the German and American investor, a third of the total invested.
