On 15 and 16 September, the Portugal Real Estate Summit will bring together international and national investors in Portugal, organised by Iberian Property, part of the Iberinmo group.
WIRE Portugal (Women in Real Estate) and Iberian Property will join forces at this landmark event to promote an innovative and charitable initiative: the auction of a painting by renowned artist Margarida Fleming, with proceeds going to the Vilacomvida / Café Joyeux Association.
The work reflects the sensitivity and unique vision of one of the most talented artists of our generation and provides an opportunity for real estate investors to be encouraged to invest in art and Portuguese artists.
The auction, which will take place in digital format, is aimed at event participants – top professionals, entrepreneurs and leading figures in the sector – and aims to contribute to the empowerment of women, as well as to support initiatives that promote gender equality and professional training.
"This event reflects the growing participation of women in the construction and real estate sectors, areas historically dominated by men, as well as our mission to highlight the positive impact we can generate when we come together for the common good. We want to inspire other women to connect with our purpose and take on leadership roles, while supporting highly relevant social projects," says Filipa Arantes Pedroso, President of WIRE Portugal.
Margarida Fleming, with her renowned career in contemporary art, is the ideal partner for this initiative. Her work, inspired by the transformative power of women in the labour market and society, conveys the strength and resilience of women in a vibrant and unique way, giving visibility to themes of identity, female empowerment and the relationship between human beings and space.
The Vilacomvida/Café Joyeux Association is the entity to which the proceeds from this Charity Auction will be donated. This is a unique integration project, which encompasses various inclusion initiatives, among which the Cafés Joyeux solidarity cafés and restaurants stand out. In these spaces, young adults with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) have the opportunity to work, receive training and build their future, demonstrating that difference can, in fact, be a strength.
WIRE Portugal supports and has a strategic partnership with this project, in line with its principles of equality, valuing work, autonomy and a positive approach to difference. "They are all professionals with hidden talents waiting to be revealed," emphasises Filipa Pinto Coelho, Executive President of Café Joyeux (Associação VilacomVida).
